Safety21 has concluded the acquisition of e-Plate, a company branch sold by CT Innnovation Srl, an innovative start-up of the Yoda Group.

Another step in the expansion of Safety21, which confirms its leadership in the role of enabler of Smart City and Smart Road solutions for the Public Administration.

E-Plate, a service that can be used both web and in mobile mode, allows the reading and automatic tracking of vehicle registration plates from video surveillance cameras regardless of the IoT product used, alerting in real time on uninsured vehicles, with expired, stolen or detained vehicles administrative.

The acquisition of e-Plate, a strategic asset of the Company branch, allows to expand the Safety21 technological offer with increasingly innovative IoT solutions in the field of road safety, and to offer an additional value-added service for the public administration integrating e-Plate as a back-end micro-service of the Titan platform, reinforcing the data-analytics function aimed at the Police Forces.

The e-Plate service is currently active in 60 municipalities in the north-east of Italy, supporting the investigative activities of the Police. To confirm this, there are several cases in which the combined use of e-Plate and the local video surveillance system has allowed the identification and arrest of criminals, with an increase in the safety of citizens.

In fact, with E-Plate it is possible to monitor large territorial areas in which different Police Forces (Local Police, State Police, Carabinieri, GdF, etc.) co-operate, maintaining full autonomy and confidentiality of their information and operations.
