Safety21 Group expands its portfolio with the acquisition of Smartprise

Safety21 S.p.A., through its subsidiary Ge.Fi.L. S.p.A., has completed the acquisition of a 60% stake in Smartprise Italia S.r.l., a leading provider of international debt recovery services for Highway Code fines and unpaid motorway tolls.
With over 20 years of industry experience, Smartprise manages the entire recovery process for outstanding receivables following cross-border notification, leveraging its proprietary SaaS platform and an established network of vetted, specialized partners across more than 80 countries. From case intake to reporting, the company ensures real-time traceability of every receivable and end-to-end visibility for public administration and concessionaire clients, delivering a transparent, measurable service at every stage.
The addition of Smartprise further strengthens the international reach of Safety21 Group’s GovTech platform, enhancing its ability to support public authorities throughout the entire enforcement lifecycle, from violation detection to the management, notification and collection of fines, both in Italy and abroad. The transaction also expands Safety21’s presence in the motorway toll collection sector, building on the strategic growth path initiated with the acquisition of Nivi S.p.A., announced last September.
