Safety21 strengthens its presence in Spain: CEM homologation obtained for the VELOCAR VRS-EVO system

Safety21 announces that it has obtained approval from the CEM (Centro Español de Merologia) no. CEM25000969 for the radar product VELOCAR/VRS-EVO-T12-5-RS4, a device intended for speed control.

This result represents a particularly important step in the Group’s internationalization process and confirms Safety21’s structural commitment to developing its presence in the Iberian area.

The approval obtained is an important recognition of the technical and professional value of the Safety21 Group, which for years has been investing in the internal development of advanced technological solutions for road safety, traffic control and digital evidence management.

The achievement of this goal rewards Safety21’s ability to adapt its technologies to the regulatory, technical and operational requirements of international markets, through a process of industrial localization of company know-how. The “Junior Bikers – Dream Experience” returns to Ventimiglia: road safety education and fun for the youngest

After the success of the first edition, the “Junior Bikers – Dream Experience” returned to Ventimiglia, the day dedicated to road safety education and introduction to safe driving “on two wheels” aimed at children and young people aged 6 to 12.

The initiative, which took place on Sunday 17 May 2026, transformed the city into a space for meeting, learning and participation, involving over 100 children in practical activities, educational paths and moments of awareness on road safety issues.

The event is part of the “Ti Voglio Bene – Ventimiglia Sicura” project, promoted in collaboration with the Municipality of Ventimiglia and supported by Safety21 as part of the public-private partnership through the SPV21 Ventimiglia concessionaire.

During the day, the young participants had the opportunity to experience riding electric minibikes in total safety, thanks to the technical support of the BMS Moto Club of Sanremo and the collaboration of the Italian Motorcycle Federation.

Through an educational path designed specifically for the little ones, children and young people learned the fundamental principles of responsible driving: the correct use of helmets and protections, driving posture, attention to controls and respect for the rules of the road. An engaging educational experience, capable of combining learning and fun through a practical and inclusive approach.

Through play, active participation and direct contact with training activities, the project promotes fundamental values such as respect for the rules, attention to others and a sense of personal responsibility.

The “Junior Bikers – Dream Experience” confirmed once again how road safety education can be transformed into a dynamic, educational and exciting experience, capable of bringing the new generations closer to the issues of safety and civil coexistence.

Ventimiglia Sicura Junior Bikers: the "Dream Experience" dedicated to young people is back

After the success of the first edition, the “Junior Bikers – Dream Experience” returns to Ventimiglia, the introductory day to safe driving “on two wheels” dedicated to children and young people aged 6 to 12. The appointment is scheduled for Sunday 17 May, in via Aprosio in Ventimiglia, from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 14.00 to 17.00.

The initiative is part of the “I Love You – Safe Ventimiglia” project and is organized by SPV21 Ventimiglia together with the City of Ventimiglia, with the collaboration of the MBS Sanremo Moto Club and Ducati Official Partner.

A day dedicated to road safety
The event was created with the aim of bringing young people closer to road safety issues through practical activities, educational moments and engaging experiences designed specifically for children.

During the day, motorcycle activities will be offered within dedicated routes supervised by expert operators, allowing participants to live an introductory driving experience in a safe and controlled context. At the same time, the main road safety rules will be illustrated, with a simple and accessible language, suitable for the age group involved.

Educate from an early age to respect the rules
“Junior Bikers – Dream Experience” represents an initiative with a strong educational and social value, designed to convey to the new generations a greater awareness of the correct behaviors to adopt on the road, both as pedestrians and as future drivers.

Through play, active participation and direct contact with training activities, the project aims to promote respect for the rules, attention to others and the value of personal responsibility.

The event is part of the broader awareness-raising process promoted by the “Ventimiglia Sicura” project, which continues to develop initiatives dedicated to prevention and the dissemination of the culture of safety in the area.

Great success of Safety21 at the 43rd edition of Le Giornate della Polizia Locale e Sicurezza Urbana, the annual event for the Local Police sector held as usual in Riccione from 20 to 22 September 2024, at the Congress Palace.

Safety21 acquires e-Plate and confirms its leadership in Smart City solutions

Safety21 has concluded the acquisition of e-Plate, a company branch sold by CT Innnovation Srl, an innovative start-up of the Yoda Group.

Another step in the expansion of Safety21, which confirms its leadership in the role of enabler of Smart City and Smart Road solutions for the Public Administration.

E-Plate, a service that can be used both web and in mobile mode, allows the reading and automatic tracking of vehicle registration plates from video surveillance cameras regardless of the IoT product used, alerting in real time on uninsured vehicles, with expired, stolen or detained vehicles administrative.

The acquisition of e-Plate, a strategic asset of the Company branch, allows to expand the Safety21 technological offer with increasingly innovative IoT solutions in the field of road safety, and to offer an additional value-added service for the public administration integrating e-Plate as a back-end micro-service of the Titan platform, reinforcing the data-analytics function aimed at the Police Forces.

The e-Plate service is currently active in 60 municipalities in the north-east of Italy, supporting the investigative activities of the Police. To confirm this, there are several cases in which the combined use of e-Plate and the local video surveillance system has allowed the identification and arrest of criminals, with an increase in the safety of citizens.

In fact, with E-Plate it is possible to monitor large territorial areas in which different Police Forces (Local Police, State Police, Carabinieri, GdF, etc.) co-operate, maintaining full autonomy and confidentiality of their information and operations.

Safety21 acquires Kapsch TrafficCom Italia: MotuS21 is born.

Safety21 S.p.A. acquires Kapsch TrafficCom Italia,the Italian branch of Kapsch TrafficCom AG, an Austrian company listed on the Vienna stock exchange, a globally recognized provider of technological solutions for mobility.

With this transaction, Safety21 further strengthens its series of acquisitions at the national and international level, intended to incorporate core links in the chain of services offered by the Group to the Public bodies in the Smart Mobility market.

Kapsch TrafficCom Italia has been a leader since 2008 in the manufacturing, sale and maintenance of IoT for traffic offense detection, with a particular focus on access control in Limited Traffic Zone (LTZ) and this acquisition allows the extension of the range of cutting-edge IoT technological solutions and scalable and innovative outsourcing services, allowing Safety21 to serve over 300 public bodies, with an installed base of over 700 active and operational enforcement IoTs throughout Italy.

Safety21 was supported in the transaction by the advisor Itom Invest while the legal aspects were handled by Grimaldi for Kapsch and Orrick for the buyer. The banks involved, a pool made up of Banco BPM and MPS, were followed by Legance.

Safety21 gets 3 stars in the Legality Rating

Safety21 has obtained the Legality Rating, acquiring 3 stars, the maximum score that a company can achieve and confirm its constant attention to transparency and reliability issues.

The legality rating is an innovative tool developed by the Italian Competition Authority in agreement with the Ministries of the Interior and Justice, which recognizes rewards companies that operate according to the principles of legality, transparency and social responsibility.

The company that owns the Kegal Rating is included in a “list of virtuous companies”, constantly updated on the website of the Competition and Market Authority, which highlights the level of Rating assigned, suspended or revoked and which will be easily consulted by its customers, suppliers and partners.

More resources for sports associations in 2021

On 7 June 2021, a press conference was held to present the fifth edition of the ‘Premio Costruiamo il Futuro Milano Citta Metropolitana’ (Building the Future Milan Metropolitan City Award), an initiative created to provide concrete support for sports associations’ efforts and projects in Milan and its province.

Safety21 is supporting the event for the second year, as it has always believed in and supported projects that generate value for the community, for sport and for the region.

Since the initiative was launched in 2003, over 600 clubs have been supported, €950,000 has been donated to projects and over 2,500 associations have been involved.

In 2020, the Foundation received 546 requests for grants. This number has almost doubled compared to previous years, showing that many organisations are facing great difficulties, also due to the Covid-19 emergency.

This is why the Foundation, with the support of private companies like Safety21, has set itself the challenging goal of supporting the activities of 50 sports associations – double the number of associations compared to the previous year – thus supporting the most significant education and training projects for young people and ensuring they have healthy meeting places that help prevent hardship and alienation.
